World Cruise Day 12- another sea day (5 of 8 in a row) January 16

Cruise World Day 12- another sea day (5 of 8 in a row) January 16

·         Up at 640AM

·         Cafe and breakfast with a spectacular view.

·         8:15--Qi Jong class. We have progressed to practicing moves 1-6.

·         9AM--Polynesian seashell bracelet making class.

·         10AM--New Zealand and Australia shore excursion lecture. I will sign up for a few and take walking tours and Hop on Hop off buses in others. Apparently, a 95-year old guest, Marie Clare, signed up for parasailing.

·         11AM--lecture on Marianas Trench, the deepest point in the world--located north of Australia.

·         11:45--trivia

·         12:30 lunch

·         2:00--lecture on seafarer life and sea chanties (songs) by Milt Keiles.

·         5:00pm Trivia. We won both the morning and evening rounds today.

·         5:30 tropical wear theme tonight at dinner.  3 of our couples dined at a VIP event so we invited friends and Milt Keiles, the lecturer to join our table (for 10). His wife, Joy insisted I sit to her right because she is hard of hearing. I politely ignored her and sat facing the crowd as I prefer. This is MY vacation!

Tonight's show was a superb performance by award-winning Latin dance team from Australia and New Zealand, Dance Trance.  ⬅(Try to get an American, a Brit, and an Aussie to agree on how to pronounce that!)  They opened with a passe-double followed by samba, cha-cha, and a spectacular tango!

I ended the evening ballroom dancing in the Ocean Bar.

Many guests watched the playoffs game in the sports bar.

Before retiring, I remarked how I had not turned on the television, once.

Tropical night
