Visiting Melk feels like stepping into a place where history and charm come together perfectly. This picturesque town, set along the Danube and at the entrance to the Wachau Valley, has a spirit all its own. The highlight is Melk Abbey, an incredible Baroque masterpiece perched high above the city. It’s as beautiful on the inside as it is commanding on the outside, and its views over the river are unforgettable.
